Overview:
The Assessment Warehouse offers preparation of learners for the Unit Standard 115753
Conduct outcomes based assessment using Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) preparation
tools created by the Prior Learning Centre (Learnsys). Prior Learning Centre is registered with
the ETDP SETA and is an accredited provider.
Process:
Learners attend a three day session in which they recap on the theoretical aspects of the unit
standard, followed by practical examples of how to prepare candidates for assessment, conduct
the assessment and give appropriate feedback after an assessment. The interaction with the
learner is practical and the practical element of the evidence is recorded as part of the portfolio
of evidence (POE). Learners are required to build a POE at the session and hand it in at the end of
the three days.
Types of delivery models:
There are various options available to learners wishing to enrol on one of the preparation
sessions.
3 day small group
This session is for learners who feel they would like individual attention. The session is restricted
to only four learners. It is a needs-based session and time is given to each learner’s needs. It is
run from the study of our home based office.
3 day larger group
This is for learners who feel more familiar with the content of the unit standard and want the
opportunity to bounce ideas of a larger group. This session has a maximum group of twelve
learners. The session is run from a rented space at colleges within the CBD of Cape Town, or at a
venue that is mutually agreed upon.
3 day corporate
This is for corporates wanting to train various staff members as assessors. A minimum of four
learners are required for this service. The session will be conducted at the workplace or at a
venue chosen by the corporate.
5 day evening session
These sessions are for learners who want to complete assessor training at night outside of work
time. This is for learners who feel more familiar with the content of the unit standard and want
the opportunity to bounce ideas of a larger group. This session has a maximum group of twelve
learners. The session is run from a rented space at colleges within the CBD of Cape Town.
